Lately 2.0 is Here: A Better Way to Stay On Time
Lately 2.0 is live and it brings a bunch of new features designed to help you stay aware of when you need to leave. We are taking full advantage of the iPhone's ecosystem and using every tool we can to help with time blindness, poor time estimates, and the habit of running late.
Here are the highlights:
Lock Screen Progression Bar
Now you can see a countdown on your lock screen showing how much time you have left. No more mental math. Just glance at the bar. If it is not close to the end, you can chill. If it is almost full, it is time to move.

Watch App
Notifications are way more powerful now. Users with the Watch app found notifications 76% more effective at helping them leave on time compared to those without it.

Siri Support
You can now create a Lately using only your voice. Just ask Siri to create a Lately, tell it when and where you need to be, and you are good to go.

Difficulty Levels
We added different levels depending on how disciplined you want to be.
- Goldfish: 3 points for being very early, 2 for being on time.
- Coffee: 2 points early, 1 on time.
- Grown Up: 2 points early, 1 on time, minus 1 for being late.
- Yoda: 2 points early, 1 on time, minus 2 for being late.

Lately Badges
Now there is a reason to care about points. As you earn points, you level up and unlock badges. You can even feature your badge inside the app once you unlock it.

Was On Time
Sometimes plans change and Lately cannot catch it. No stress. If you made it on time but the app says you were late, you have 24 hours to fix it by holding the tile and updating the status.

Live Location
Now your starting point updates with you. If you move, Lately updates your leave time based on where you actually are. (Within an hour of your leave time though, the app locks it in so it does not assume you have left.)
